For the first 7 months of 2019/20 MY, Odessa Grain Terminal of State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine JSC (SFGCU) increased grain transshipment in 2.5 times — from 278.8 thsd tonnes to 690.7 thsd tonnes, declared the press-service of the Corporation, on February 13.
According to the announcement, the multi-branch network of 55 regional units allows to SFGCU to purchase grain crops from agrarians in 20 regions of Ukraine, and export the cargoes to its own port facilities. The shipment of its own grains is the priority of the company, because it allows accumulating the earning within the corporation. As a result, for 7 months of 2019/20 MY SFGCU exported more than 800 thsd tonnes of its own grains, as well as sold another 80 thsd tonnes on commercial orders of counterparties.
Also, for the same period Mykolaiv Port Elevator of SFGCU kept the last year figures at the level of nearly 230 thsd tonnes.
