To date, Ukraine exhausted almost all quotas for the exports of agricultural products to the European Union — 32 of 42 items. In particular, the quotas for the exports of Ukrainian soft wheat, corn and flour to the EU were settled down at 100%, informed the Deputy Minister for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine, Trade representative of Ukraine, Taras Kachka, on February 13.
According to him, Ukrainian traders completely closed 32 commodity quotas from the list of 42 positions. Grain exports do not depend on the quotas and develop at the level of primary demand. Also, there were successes in the exports of poultry meat.
T.Kachka stressed that in 2019, the exports of agricultural products increased by 22% in comparison with 2018.
In addition, since the beginning of action of the Free Trade Agreement with the EU, the exports of Ukrainian agricultural products increased by 52%, or 6.6 bln USD in monetary terms.
