In January 2020, APK-Inform analysts did not make any significant adjustments to the forecast supply and demand balances of grain crops in Kazakhstan. The analysts slightly increased the export potential of wheat, and lowered the forecast of barley exports, taking into account the current figures on foreign trading rates in Kazakhstan.
On the basis of wheat export rates in the first half of 2019/20 MY, as well as the growth of imports (both official data and estimations of market participants) of the grain from the Russian Federation, in January adjustments the export potential of wheat increased to 3.55 mln tonnes (up 6% compared with the previous estimations), reported APK-Inform analysts.
In turn, the estimations of barley exports lowered to 1.6 mln tonnes, down 12% compared with the last season level.
