According to APK-Inform monitoring, agrarians of southern regions of Ukraine will start large scale planting of sunflower in early April.
Several households in Odessa and Kherson oblasts have already started the oilseed sowing and some farmers plan to begin the field work next week (after March 23).
Moreover, agrarians said that wintering was good, however, there is a deficit of soil moisture.
According to APK-Inform estimates, Ukraine produced almost 15.5 mln tonnes of sunflower in 2019/20 MY.
