The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan officially confirmed its cancelling of the ban on the exports of wheat flour from the country, and imposition of restrictions on the exports of wheat, reported the press-service of the Ministry, on March 30.

According to the announcement, in order to meet the country's domestic needs for grains (including to keep the volumes of animal feed and processing rates by the food industry) in the period of the state of emergency, the Ministry of Agriculture will impose the restrictions on wheat exports in the nearest future. At the same time, the Ministry will cancel the ban on the exports of flour with the similar imposition of restrictions on its exports.

In particular, the authorities will realize the exports of wheat and flour within frames of the monthly quotas established by the Ministry of Agriculture. The website of the Ministry will publish the distribution mechanism and the quotas volumes at a later date.

According to the sources of APK-Inform Agency, the Kazakh authorities will impose the quotas for foreign shipments since April 2020, including the monthly quotas for wheat at 200 thsd tonnes, and flour — 70 thsd tonnes.
