April 13 is the preliminary date for beginning the sales of grain crops from the public intervention fund of Russia, reported the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, on April 2.
Also, the press-service specified that accreditment of participants for intervention auction process will start on April 6.
Generally, it is planned to supply nearly 1.5 mln tonnes of grains on the domestic market to meet the needs of the flour milling and baking industries, as well as the animal husbandry industry.
As a reminder, previously the Ministry announced the expected volumes of intervention sales at the level of 1 mln tonnes. To date, the general grain stocks in the intervention fund total nearly 1.75 mln tonnes.
