According to the agro-industrial government agencies of the Russian Federation subjects, in 2019 Russia put into circulation nearly 1.07 mln ha of unused agricultural lands, which exceeded the planned figures by 27.8%, reported the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, on June 4.

According to the announcement, in 2019 the list of the leading regions in the segment included Orenburg, Saratov, Ryazan, Volgograd, Bryansk, Moscow and Novosibirsk oblasts, as well as the Republic of Kalmykia.

By 2025, Russia will put into circulation nearly 4 mln ha of unused agricultural lands, with support of the state aid tools. The reporting works will provide the annual growth of grain crops production by 1 mln tonnes, and oilseeds — up 0.2 mln tonnes, said the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Jambulat Khatuov.
