Milling capacities of Tajikistan is able to cover fully the inner consumption of flour as well as to export some volumes, declared the Minister of Industry and Innovative Technology, Zarobiddin Fayzullozoda.
He mentioned that the country produced 374.9 thsd tonnes of flour in January-June, 2020, up by 43.1 thsd tonnes compared to the same period of 2019.
“In the reporting period, Tajikistan supplied 466 tonnes of flour to Afghanistan. Wheat for milling is imported from Russia and Kazakhstan”, - the Minister said.
In January-June, 2020, Tajikistan imported 47.5 thsd tonnes of flour, up by 22.6 thsd tonnes compared to the same period of 2019, and 498 thsd tonnes of wheat, down by 49.1 thsd tonnes.
