According to the data of governing bodies of the agro-industrial complex of the subjects of Russia, as of August 13 the grains and pulses were harvested on 23.5 mln ha, which is 49% of the total areas. The production is estimated at 79.7 mln tonnes with the average yield totaling 33.9 qq/ha, reported he press-service of the Ministry of Agriculture.
“Wheat was harvested on 16.7 mln ha (56.8% of planned areas) and the production amounted to 61.2 mln tonnes with the yield at 36.6 qq/ha. The harvest of barley was completed on 4.3 mln ha (50%) and the production was estimated at 13 mln tonnes with the yield at 30.4 qq/ha” – reported the ministry.
The harvest of rapeseed as of reporting date was 20.7% complete (on 308.6 thsd ha) with the production totaling 732.9 thsd tonnes (23.7 qq/ha).
Moreover, in Krasnodar Kray the sugar beet harvest is ongoing and was fulfilled on 8.6 thsd ha with the production reaching 366.3 thsd tonnes (428.4 qq/ha).
The planting of winter crops as of reporting date was performed on 97.7 thsd ha or 0.5% of the forecasted areas.
