In January-September of 2020, the traffic volumes of grains and its by-products by rail in Ukraine decreased by 15.6% compared with the same period last year, and totaled 24.3 mln tonnes, reported the State Statistics Service.
As for the transportation volumes of chemical and mineral fertilizers, in the reporting period the figures reduced by 6.6% — to 6.6 mln tonnes.
Generally, for the first nine months of 2020 the Ukrainian Railway (JSC Ukrzaliznytsia) transported 223.1 mln tonnes of all types of cargoes, down 4.7% compared with the same period last year.
