The Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine does not see any reasons for revision of limit volume of wheat and corn export set in the Memorandum for 2020/21 MY, declared the Deputy Minister for Development of Economy, Taras Vysotskyi on October 26.
“Ukraine produced 25 mln tonnes of wheat and has already exported about 10 mln tonnes. We see the gradual slowdown of export. Thus, the wheat export volume set in the Memorandum at 17.5 mln tonnes is rather reasonable”, - he said.
At the same time, he does not exclude further revision of this volume in the second half of the season amid current uncertainty regarding winter wheat crop of 2021.
Corn production forecast remained unchanged at 33 mln tonnes.
“Thus, there are no reasons to revise the volumes set in the Memorandum at least until the end of 2020”, - T.Vysotskyi summarized.
