Corn shipments up sharply in Ukrainian ports in November

According to the monitoring reports by APK-Inform Agency, in the period of November 1-30, 2020, the seaports of Ukraine increased the export volumes of major grain crops. Thus, in the reporting period the seaports shipped for exports 4.9 mln tonnes of grains, up 6.5% compared with the previous month volumes (4.6 mln tonnes, taking into account the updated figures).

In particular, in the reporting period the shipments of wheat decreased by 1.8 times to 1.16 mln tonnes, barley — by 1.9 times to 261 thsd tonnes, while export of corn increased by 1.7 times to 3.48 mln tonnes.

In the reporting month, Pakistan was the largest importer of wheat (222 thsd tonnes), China was the main destination for barley (163.5 thsd tonnes) and corn (1.3 mln tonnes).

In 2020/21 MY, the Mykolaiv Sea Commercial Port (7.8 mln tonnes) still remained the leader in the exports of major grain crops. The Chornomorsk Commercial Sea Port (5.1 mln tonnes) and the Sea Commercial Port of Pivdennyj (4.2 mln tonnes) took the second and third positions respectively.
