As of December 1, 2020, Ukrainian agricultural enterprises, as well as grain storage and processing enterprises, stored 23.1 mln tonnes of grains and pulses, a decrease of 7.4 mln tonnes compared with the same date in 2019, reported the State Statistics Service.
In particular, wheat stocks totaled 6.8 mln tonnes (down 16%), corn for grain — 14.1 mln tonnes (down 27%), barley — 1.4 mln tonnes (down 37%), rye — 212.4 thsd tonnes (up 2.2 times), as well as sunflower seed — 6.5 mln tonnes (down 19%).
According to the announcement, directly agrarian enterprises stored 15.1 mln tonnes of grains and pulses (down 20%), while crop processing and storing enterprises — 8.1 mln tonnes (down 31%).
