Weather conditions were not dangerous for wintering of crops in Ukraine in the second ten-day period of December, informed Hydrometcenter.
Winter crops were in light winter dormancy. Higher daily temperatures (+5-12°С) resulted in slow growing of plants in southern oblasts of Ukraine.
“Minimal temperature of soil at the depth of 3 cm declined to +1…-5°С, locally to -6…-9°С that was not dangerous for plants”, - is stated in the message.
