The government of Russia expects grain production to reach 131 mln tonnes in 2021, declared the Deputy Prime Minister, Victoria Abramchenko.
“We had high production last year. Russia harvested 133 mln tonnes of grains in 2020, it was the second largest crop on record. We expect the production to be 131 mln tonnes in 2021. Condition of winter crops is good and satisfactory today”, - she said.
She added that about 81% of grains started wintering in good condition.
“All necessary top-dressing was made. Planted area exceeded 19 mln ha. Thus, we do not have any concern as of today”, - V.Abramchenko pointed out.
