According to APK-Inform, Ukraine exported about 8.8 mln tonnes of corn in October-December of 2020/21 MY, down 8% compared to the same period of 2019/20 MY (9.5 mln tonnes).
China was the main destination for Ukrainian corn in the reporting period. Export to China increased by 2.8 times to 3.6 mln tonnes. The EU cut import of Ukrainian corn by 39% to 2.7 mln tonnes, Egypt- by 19% to 900.4 thsd tonnes.
Shipments to these three counties totaled 82% out of the overall export of corn from Ukraine corn in October-December. The share of China reached 40%, the EU - 31%.
APK-Inform expect Ukraine to export 22 mln tonnes of corn in 2020/21 MY, down 23% compared to 2019/20 MY (28.7 mln tonnes).
