According to the Committee on Statistics of Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan, as of January 1, the stocks of grains and pulses decreased to 12.667 mln tonnes compared to 14.05 mln tonnes in the previous month.
In particular, by the beginning of January, the total stocks of Kazakh wheat were estimated at 9.884 mln tonnes, including milling wheat at 8.22 mln tonnes, for seeds – 1.25 mln tonnes, and for feed – 414 thsd tonnes.
Also, as of January 1, the stocks of barley amounted to 1.86 mln tonnes, rye – 18.7 thsd tonnes, oats – 139 thsd tonnes, corn – 184.6 thsd tonnes, rice – 384.8 thsd tonnes, buckwheat – 24.4 thsd tonnes, millet – 16.7 thsd tonnes.
