Georgia cut import of wheat and wheat flour in 2020, reported the National Statistics Service.  

Georgia imported 490.9 thsd tonnes of wheat at the sum of 108 mln USD (down by 4.4% and 0.9% correspondingly). Russia supplied 488.3 thsd tonnes of flour to Georgia in 2020 (up 13.5%) at the sum of 107.5 mln USD (up 18.4%). The rest of the volume came from the USA (2.5 thsd tonnes), Turkey, Austria and Greece.

Import of wheat flour declined to 10.7 thsd tonnes at the sum of 3.1 mln USD (down 37.1% and 36.7%). Russia supplied 9.2 thsd tonnes of flour, down 29.2%. Additionally, Georgia imported flour from Lithuania (931 tonnes), Ukraine (336 tonnes), Italy, Austria, Turkey and France.
