Ukraine already shipped 46% of its corn export potential

According to State Statistics Service, Ukraine exported about 10.8 mln tonnes of corn in October-December 2020/21 MY at the sum of 2 bln USD, down 25% compared to the same period last year (14.3 mln tonnes at the sum of 2.3 bln USD).

China was the main importer of Ukrainian corn. It bought 4.2 mln tonnes of the grain at the sum of 772.3 mln USD, up by 2.5 times in volume terms compared to October-December 2019/20 MY. Egypt imported 1.2 mln tonnes of Ukrainian corn at the sum of 238.5 mln USD, down 34%. The Netherlands imported 1.1 mln tonnes of the grain at the sum of 204.5 mln USD, down 24%.

These three countries imported 60% of the overall volume of Ukrainian corn in October-December 2020/21 MY.

APK-Inform expects Ukraine to export 23.5 mln tonnes of corn in 2020/21 MY. Thus, it has already shipped 46% of its export potential.
