Export of Russian grain will total about 40 mln tonnes in July-February of 2020/21 MY, after that it will decline sharply, declared the General Director of ProZerno company, Vladimir Petrichenko.

“We will export about 40 mln tonnes of grain by the end of February. After that there will be a deadlock due to the export duty, especially when the tariffs for corn and barley will enter into force”, - he expert supposes.

Initial potential of grain export from Russia was 50-51 mln tonnes in 2020/21 MY. “Now, it will total 46 mln tonnes or even 43 mln tonnes”, - the analyst said.

Wheat export will decline to 35-36 mln tonnes, or even may be as low as 34 mln tonnes.

“As a result, we will have about 18-19 mln tonnes of carry-over stocks. It will be too much, it will not be good for the industry”,- Petrichenko pointed out.
