Export progress of Ukrainian grain matches the Memorandum - Vysotskyi

According to the State Fiscal Service, since the beginning of 2020/21 MY and as of February 22, Ukraine exported 31 mln tonnes of grains and pulses. Wheat export reached 13.3 mln tonnes, including 8.9 mln tonnes of milling wheat. Export of corn totaled 13.2 mln tonnes.

“If the current export pace retains, we will meet the figures stated in the Memorandum. Ukraine has already shipped 76.1% of its wheat export potential. Moreover, it has exported 55% of corn potential that matches the export progress of the last year”, - commented the Deputy Minister for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Taras Vysotskyi.
“Ukrhydrometcenter informed that 92% of winter crops were in good condition at the beginning of the winter. Despite fluctuation of temperature, 80% of planted area have sufficient moisture content as of the end of the winter. Soil moisture supply is enough for spring”, - was added.
