Isolated fields planted with winter crops have ground ice in Belarus, informed Belhydromet on February 23.
Quite high snow cover has been preserved on most of the terriroty of the country for more than a month.
“The temperature on the depth of tillering zone remains higher than the optimal level, as the freezing of soil is weak”, - the expert said.
They expect warmer weather will make the snow cower to melt a little and firm.
