As of April 2, Belarusian agrarians planted early grains and pulses throughout the areas of 82.1 thsd ha, or 11% of the plan (742.6 thsd ha), declared the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus.
In particular, Gomel oblast planted early grains and pulses throughout 14.8 thsd ha (13.9%), Brest oblast — 42.3 thsd ha (3.8%), Grodno oblast — 18.3 thsd ha (16.1%), Minsk oblast — 5.28 thsd ha (3.4%), Mogilev oblast — 1.05 thsd ha (0.9%), and Vitebsk oblast — 0.36 thsd ha (0.25%).
The year ago, early grains and pulses were planted throughout the areas of 380.9 thsd ha.
In addition, agrarians applied additional fertilizers to winter grains throughout 538.3 thsd ha, or 37% of the plan.
