16 oblasts of Ukraine have already started spring planting campaign. As of April 1, farmers have planted spring grains and pulses throughout 310.6 thsd ha, or 4% of the forecast, declared the Deputy Minister for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine, Taras Vysotskyi on April 5.
Farmers of Kherson, Odessa, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhia and Donetsk oblasts were the first who started spring planting campaign. Agrarians of Volyn, Vinnytsia, Zakarpatska, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Luhansk, Poltava, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi and Chernivtsi oblasts have already begun the field works too.
“Despite some delay of the start of planting campaign, farmers actively begin the spring field works. The planted area under spring grains can reach 7.67 mln ha in 2021. Farmers are fully provided with seeds, fertilizers, plant protection products and fuel”, - T.Vysotskyi said.
