Prices of Ukrainian sunflower oil surged amid possible export restrictions

According to APK-Inform, the export prices of Ukrainian crude sunflower oil are growing.

The preposition to impose quotas and licensing on sunflower oil export supported the prices. The measure is said to grant food security in the country. It caused outrage among traders and processors and significantly complicated the market activity as well as raised the importers’ demand. The growth of prices of crude oil and vegetable oils on the global market pushed the process up too.

As of the morning of April 16, the offer prices of crude sunflower oil amounted to 1570-1580 USD/t FOB, up by average 45 USD/t compared to the week ago.
