Ukrainian grain export to be lower than the limit volume set in the Memorandum

Ukrainian Grain Association does not see any reasons for Ukrainian grain export to exceed the limit volume determined by the Memorandum signed by the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine and the market participants.

This season, the pace of export of Ukrainian grain is much lower compared to the preceding year due to the global market conjuncture.

“UGA expects the wheat export to decline to 16 mln tonnes this season (17.5 mln tonnes set in the Memorandum), corn export to decrease to 22 mln tonnes (24 mln tonnes). The overall export of grains and oilseed will reduce to 46.8 mln tonnes in 2020/21 MY, down from record 62 mln tonnes in 2019/20 MY”, - they said.
