In January-February, Ukrainian exports to China exceeded 1 bln USD, up by 44% compared to the same period of the last year, declared the Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, Vladyslava Magaletska within the meeting with the ambassador of China, Fan Xianrong.

“Ukrainian exports to China have been growing since the beginning of the year. We have increased the supplies to China in 2020 as well. I’m sure Ukraine will do its best to remain the reliable supplier of food products to this strategic market”, - V.Magaletska pointed out.

Besides, they discussed the phytosanitary requirements of China to Ukrainian agricultural products - barley, corn, sunflower oil, wheat - within the meeting. Additionally, they considered the possible opening of new Chinese markets to Ukrainian producers.
