“The weather is still the main factor to watch. Today, the planting campaign of sunflower seed is delayed. As of May 21, 2020, the planting campaign of sunflower seed was 95% completed, while farmers have planted only 50% of the plan as of May 6, 2021. However, long and cold spring prolongs a sowing window for sunflower seed. Soil moisture is sufficient, and I think we will have enough sun. It seems to me that everything is quite good”, - he said.
S.Nevskyy pointed out that the weather would be the key factor and would have significant influence on estimations of crop size and premium of sunflower seed and oil prior to the crop harvesting.
