As of May 1, 2021, the stocks of grains in agricultural organizations of the Russian Federation totaled 12.4 mln tonnes, up 25% compared with the figures on the same date in 2020, declared the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat).
In particular, wheat stocks amounted to 6.6 mln tonnes, up 2.4 mln tonnes (56%) compared with the same date in 2020, corn stocks - 1.6 mln tonnes, up by 261.5 thsd tonnes (19%).
Sunflower seed stocks totaled 297.4 thsd tonnes, down by 275.7 thsd tonnes (52%).
