Kazakhstan plans to restrict the export of main grain crops and to ban the export of animal feed since August 15. The decision was made at the meeting of Multiagency commission on international trade policy and participation in international economic organizations.
“To approve the implementation of quantitative restriction on export of soft wheat (5 grade), barley, cake and meal from Kazakhstan (to the EAEU countries as well) for 6 months from August 15, 2021. The Ministry of Agriculture and Atameken NCE should calculate the volumes and determine the procedure of allocation of quantitative restrictions by July 26”, - the minutes of meeting says.
Also, they ban the export of hay, haylage, silage, oats and rye from Kazakhstan (to the EAEU countries as well) for 6 months from August 15.
“The Ministry of Agriculture together with the Ministries of Finance, Industry and Infrastructural Development, Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan should prepare and accept the joint normative legal act for implementation of these measures”, - the document says.
