In January-September 2021, the traffic volumes of grains and its by-products by rail in Ukraine totaled 21.9 mln tonnes, down 11.1% compared to the same period of the last year, informed the State Statistics Service.
At the same time, railway transportation of chemical and mineral fertilizers increased by 16.4% to 7.7 mln tonnes.
Generally, the Ukrainian Railway (JSC Ukrzaliznytsia) transported 229.7 mln tonnes of all types of cargoes in January-September, up 2.9%.
