Ukraine sold 55% of its wheat export potential – APK-Inform




According to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, the country exported 12.4 mln tonnes of wheat at the sum of 3 bln USD in July-October 2021/22 MY, up by 14% y/y in volume terms and by 43% in monetary terms.

Indonesia was the largest importer of Ukrainian wheat. It bought 2.6 mln tonnes of the grain in July-October (+24% y/y). Egypt imported 1.6 mln tonnes of wheat (+24% y/y). Turkey imported 1.1 mln tonnes of Ukrainian wheat (+3.9 times y/y) that exceeded the volume imported in the full 2020/21 MY by 42%.

APK-Inform expects Ukraine to export 22.5 mln tonnes of wheat in 2021/22 MY. Therefore, the export potential is 55% sold.
