In January-October 2021, Ukrainian agricultural organizations decreased the selling volumes of grains and pulses by 9.7% in comparison with the same period of 2020 to 29.17 mln tonnes, reported the State Statistics Service.
Particularly, farmers cut wheat and corn sales by 1.3% to 13.38 mln tonnes and 15.8% to 12.16 mln tonnes correspondingly. The sales of barley declined by 10.9% to 2.87 mln tonnes. At the same time, the sales of rye increased by 70.2% to 223.5 thsd tonnes.
Besides, farmers cut the sales of sunflower seed by 24.7% to 5.61 mln tonnes, soybean by 45% to 1.05 mln tonnes, while the sales of rapeseed increased by 4.9% to 2.19 mln tonnes.
