Russia has strengthened its positions on the world market of rapeseed oil over the last three years, declared the director of oil and feedstock unit of EFKO Group of companies Mikhail Khokhlov.
“Share of Russian exporters of rapeseed oil is growing. It almost doubled since the mid-2010”, – he said.
Good rapeseed crops and extension of planted area are the base for further growth of export of rapeseed oil.
“Russia produced more than 600 thsd tonnes of rapeseed oil in 2020/21 MY. It can raise by 1.5 times in 2021/22 MY on stronger internal demand and higher supply on the domestic market amidst imposition of a duty. Weaker supply of Canadian oil supports the demand for Russian product as well”, – he added.
