In January-September 2021, Russia increased the export volumes of cereal crops by 2.1% compared with the same period of the last year to 31.457 mln tonnes, reported the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat).
In particular, in the reporting period wheat and meslin traditionally formed the basis of grain export supplies – 19.969 mln tonnes, down 16.1% compared with January-September 2020.
Russia exported 3.151 mln tonnes of barley (-11.6%).
Moreover, Russia shipped abroad 101 thsd tonnes of rice (+67%) and 148 thsd tonnes of wheat and wheat-rye flour (-25%).
Exports of sunflower seed from Russia totaled 30.8 thsd tonnes in January-September (-96.5%).
