Kazakhstan was one of the leading importers of Russian grain in November




According to regional divisions of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor), Russia exported 24.5 mln tonnes of grains and oilseeds as well as by-products in July-November 2021/22 MY (including deliveries to the territory of the Customs Union countries), reported the Federal State-Funded Institution «Federal Centre of Quality and Safety Assurance for Grain».

TOP-10 importers accounted for 56% or 13.7 mln tonnes of the overall export volume. Particularly, Turkey imported 5.7 mln tonnes (23%, +18%), including 3.7 mln tonnes of wheat, Egypt – 2.7 mln tonnes (11%, -38%), including 2.7 mln tonnes of wheat, Kazakhstan – 1.1 mln tonnes (5% +33%), including 1 mln tonnes of wheat.

Latvia increased import of the products to 0.9 mln tonnes (+15%) and came to the 4th place from the 5th position.

“In November, the record volumes of products were shipped to Kazakhstan (307 thsd tonnes), Ethiopia (107 thsd tonnes) and Cameron (70 thsd tonnes). The growth of supplies was observed due to higher export of wheat”, - the message said.
