Grain selling by Russian farmers down 10% y/y in 2021




In January-October 2021, all types of agricultural organizations of the Russian Federation decreased the selling volumes of grain crops by 10.2% in comparison with the same period of 2020 to 48.8 mln tonnes, reported the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat).

Particularly, in October, Russian agricultural organizations decreased the sales of grains by 26.9% to 7.1 mln tonnes.

In October, Russian agricultural organizations increased sales of farm animals and poultry in live weight by 2% to 1.1 mln tonnes, milk by 2.2% to 1.4 mln tonnes, while the sales of eggs declined by 0.8% to 2.7 bln pcs.

In January-October, Russian agricultural organizations sold 10.1 mln tonnes of farm animals and poultry in live weight (+0.3%), 14.6 mln tonnes of milk (+1.2%) and 26.7 bln pcs of eggs (-0.9%).
