In the first ten-day period of January, there were no unfavorable agro-climatic conditions for wintering of crops in Ukraine, informed Ukrhydromet.
“However, high air temperature (above +3-5°С) in the last days of December and at the start of January could resume physiological processes of wintering crops that could hurt their frost tolerance”, – they added.
Minimal temperature at rooting depth were at 1-5°C below zero that was significantly higher than the critically low temperature.
