Belarus increased agricultural exports by 17% in 2021

In 2021, Belarus increased export of food products and agricultural raw materials by 17.3% y/y to 6.7 bln USD. Currency returns grew by 987.6 mln USD.

The products were exported to more than 100 countries. Cambodia, Kuwait, Burkina Faso, Gambia, Zambia, Congo, Antigua, Andorra, Iceland, San Marino, Slovenia were the new markets for Belarusian products in 2021.

Export to the CIS countries totaled 5.5 bln USD (+13% y/y). The share of the region amounted to 83.4% in the export structure. Particularly, the share of Russia totaled 71.9% in the overall export structure.

The export to Azerbaijan grew by 14.2%, Kazakhstan by 11.5%, Kyrgyzstan by 68.3%, Moldova by 27.5%, Tajikistan by 11.2%, Uzbekistan by 30.7%, Ukraine by 24.4%.

The export of Belarusian products to far abroad countries totaled 1.11 bln USD (+45.1%).
