Russia exported more than 25 mln tonnes of wheat in 2021/22MY




According to regional divisions of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor), since the beginning of the season-2021/22 (July 1), and as of February 17, Russia exported 36.1 mln tonnes of grains and oilseeds and their by-products (including deliveries to the territory of the Customs Union countries), down 20% compared to the same period of the last year. The export of grains and pulses totaled 31.7 mln tonnes, including 30.3 mln tonnes of grains, reported the Federal State-Funded Institution «Federal Centre of Quality and Safety Assurance for Grain».

Russia shipped the reporting goods to 141 countries (131 countries the year ago).

In the reporting period Russia exported 25.2 mln tonnes of wheat (down 24%), 2.9 mln tonnes of barley (down 34%), 2 mln tonnes of corn (up 24%), 1.1 mln tonnes of peas, 0.6 mln tonnes of wheat bran, 0.2 mln tonnes wheat flour. Particularly, flour export exceeded the result of the full 2020/21 MY.

In addition, Russia exported 0.4 mln tonnes of soybeans, 0.8 mln tonnes of sunflower meal, 0.6 mln tonnes of flaxseed.
