Ukrainian farmers will plant all fields that can be planted across the controlled territories and within the security limits, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Roman Leschenko said on March 16.
“This refers to not only western, but also central and southern regions. Our farmers are brave and strong. They go to fields to plant even in occupied regions. I’m sure that we will grant the foos security of the country”, – the minister said.
He added that the government strongly supports the spring planting campaign. The measures taken include regulation of fuel prices, easing of mechanisms for pesticides delivery, cancelation of registration for agricultural machinery, cut of credit rates, etc.
The minister noted that Ukraine has sufficient stocks of last year’s food.
“Export will depend on military and political situation, access to port infrastructure, ability to use railway, etc.”, – he summarized.
