On April 15, a mechanism of quoting the export of sunflower oil and meal came in force in Russia.
The mechanism will remain in force until August 31, 2022. Non-tariff export quota on sunflower oil is set at 1.5 mln tonnes, sunflower meal – 700 thsd tonnes. The quotas will be allocated on a historical basis.
The Russian Ministry of Agriculture previously said that the quotas were needed to protect the domestic market.
