Russia has developed and is trying to implement a scheme to legalize the export of stolen Ukrainian grain to Turkey, the ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey Vasyl Bodnar declared.

According to him, Ukraine currently has information that Russia supplies grain to Turkey that is not Ukrainian according to documents and is not shipped from Ukrainian ports.

"In fact, the following is happening: the aggressors steal Ukrainian grain, move it by car to Sevastopol, from where it is shipped to Russian ports. After that, the grain get fake documents as if it were Russian grain. If it came from Sevastopol or Kherson, no one would accept it. As they pretend the grain is imported from Krasnodar or Novorossiysk, there is no violation for the Turkish authorities. This sets a dangerous precedent. We have to stop such actions of Russia”, – V. Bodnar explained.

He added that every fact of removal of stolen grain was documented, relevant notes and appeals were sent, communication was carried out.

"We have provided the Turkish side with a list of vessels used by Russia and third parties to smuggle stolen grain, including to Turkish ports. Official Ankara took this into account and promised to work it out in detail”, – the ambassador stressed.
