According to APK-Inform, the export prices of Ukrainian new-crop rapeseed have been decreasing since the beginning of June.
The overall downward trend on the market of vegetable oils weighted on the prices. They were also pressured by forecast of better rapeseed crop in the EU this year and expected strong supply of the oilseed from Ukraine at the western land borders, despite lower harvested area, amid war, and logistical problems caused by blockage of the seaports. At the same time, lower planted area under Canadian canola this year limited the development of the price decrease.
As of June 13, the prices of new-crop rapeseed totaled 725-750 USD/t DAP Izov (July) compared to 820-850 USD/t DAP Izov at the beginning of June.
