Kazakhstan extended quotas on wheat and wheat flour exports until September 30, the Ministry of Agriculture officially announced on June 15.

According to the Ministry, in order to ensure food security of Kazakhstan, they decided to extend quota on export of wheat and meslin to the third countries and the EAEU members in the volume of 550 thsd tonnes and quota on export of wheat and wheat-rye flour to the third countries in the volume of 370 thsd tonnes until September 30, 2022.

As a reminder, until June 15, there were quotas on export of 1 mln tonnes of wheat and 300 thsd tonnes of flour from Kazakhstan.

According to the latest data of the Kazakh Grain Union, the quota on wheat export has been taken up by 50%, on flour export – by 87%.
