On July 27, under the aegis of the United Nations and with the participation of representatives of Ukraine, Turkey, the UN and Russia, the Joint Coordination Center (JCC) for the organization of "grain corridors" from Ukrainian ports was officially opened in Istanbul, reports the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine.

"General supervision and coordination of the implementation of the Initiative on the safe transportation of grain and food products from the Ukrainian ports of Odessa, Chornomorsk and Pivdennyi is a task of the JCC", – the message says.

Also, the JCC will register ships heading to unblocked Ukrainian ports, and approve transit schedules and port calls. From Ukraine, both representatives of the central and military authorities participate in the work of the center.

In addition, in the near future, the parties will form special inspection teams, which will check vessels for the presence of unauthorized cargo and personnel, which are going to and leaving Ukrainian ports. The inspection will take place at the entrance/exit to/from the Turkish Straits.

"Only representatives of the state authorities of Ukraine will ensure the implementation of agreements in Ukrainian ports and territorial waters of Ukraine. This was one of the main demands of the Ukrainian negotiation group in Istanbul", – the ministry said.
