Global trade with sunflower oil is growing at the end of 2021/22 MY. Oil World sees sunflower oil export from TOP-5 countries at 2.3 mln tonnes in July-September, up by 23% y/y.
The largest export gains will be observed from Russia, Ukraine and Bulgaria.
Ukraine may export about 920 thsd tonnes of sunflower oil in July-September compared to 810 thsd tonnes year ago, Russia – 890 (620) thsd tonnes, Bulgaria – 220 (150) thsd tonnes.
World export of sunflower oil to reach 10.6 mln tonnes in 2022/23 MY, up 8% y/y, OilWorld forecasts.
The largest surplus is expected for Russia – to 4.35 mln tonnes compared to 3.46 mln tonnes seen for 2021/22MY. Thus, it may turn to the largest global supplier of sunflower oil.
Ukraine may ship 4.3 mln tonnes of sunflower oil in 2022/23 MY, down from 4.47 mln tonnes in 2021/22 MY.
