Currently, two-thirds of Ukrainian grain, which has already been sent through the "grain corridor", is destined for the markets of Asia, Africa and the Middle East, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba stated on September 7.

"Right now, another ship with Ukrainian grain reached the shores of Africa near Sudan. In total, two-thirds of ships are destined for Asia, Africa and the Middle East. The recovery of Ukrainian food exports through the "grain corridor" had a positive effect on the reduction of prices on the food market. This is important to mitigate the effects of the food crisis, especially for the most vulnerable countries. In August, as soon as the first ships left Ukrainian ports, wheat prices fell by at least 5%. These are real facts, and the Russians' fictions about sending grain only to Europe are simply not true", – the minister said.

He also noted that since the launch of the "corridor", ships with Ukrainian grain have left for the ports of Egypt, Yemen, Israel, Iran, India, China, South Korea, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Djibouti, Turkey and EU countries.

The minister also drew attention to the fact that Russia may deliberately raise doubts about the effectiveness of the "grain corridor", preparing to bargain and blackmail the world as the 120-day deal approaches its end.

In this regard, D. Kuleba called on partners to exert consolidated pressure on Russia in order to stop its "hunger games" with the world and fully fulfill its obligations under the agreements. He also called on the recipient countries of Ukrainian agricultural products to demand from Russia not to interfere with the functioning of the "grain corridor" and to continue its operation.
