The planted area under winter crops in Ukraine may exceed the official forecast of the Ministry of Agriculture of 4.7 mln ha, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Markiyan Dmytrasevich believes.
"Taking into account the latest liberation of Ukrainian territories from occupation, we have reasonable optimism that this forecast of 4.7 mln ha will be improved", – M. Dmytrasevich said.
He also noted that the proportion of plantings is shifting towards rapeseed.
"This crop is more expensive and better withstands the logistical costs of our farmers, although it is a little more difficult to grow", – he commented.
