Ukraine will provide 50 thsd tonnes of food wheat to African countries for free. This decision is confirmed by the resolution of the government of the country.
The government allocates 420 mln UAH to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (for the State Emergency Service) to reimburse the cost of 50 thsd tonnes of wheat to provide humanitarian aid to Ethiopia and Somalia.
"The provision of humanitarian aid will be carried out at the expense of wheat owned by State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine", – the resolution reads.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is instructed to agree with the UN and the competent authorities of Ethiopia and Somalia on the issue of delivery and payment of grain transportation from the Odesa sea trade port to the ports of these countries at the expense of international organizations.
